The CDC Derailed the Ebola Crazy Train? Really?

The CDC Derailed the Ebola Crazy Train? Really?

All aboard!  Hahaha... Buh Buh – Buh Buh-Buh Buh – Buh Buh – Aye Aye Aye... Crazy, but that's how it goes...

Who's the Engineer of the Ebola Crazy Train, Ozzy Osbourne?  No?  Come on, the dude bit the head off a bat at a concert in Des Moines, Iowa in 1982.  Is that not how Ebola came to be?

O.k., regardless of where it came from, Ebola is alive and well in the United State of Texas, and it is someone's fault.  Who's gonna be the fall guy?

Dr. Tom Frieden, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and his cohorts at the agency?  Really?

Dr. Frieden, at the CDC in Atlanta, which resides in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in Washington, a federal agency in the Divided States of America (DS of A) government, is the Engineer of the Ebola Crazy Train that derailed in the United State of Texas?  Really?

Dr. Frieden and his team at the CDC are to be blamed because a private hospital, employing State licensed medical professionals – in the United City of Dallas, the United County of Dallas, under the laws of the United State of Texas – failed to diagnose a patient with Ebola and discharged him into the community with two Tylenol and some antibiotics and said, "call me in the morning?"  Really?

Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe.  It's not too late
To learn how to love, and forget how to hate

Holly infectious diarrhea, Batman!  That Tea Party Senator from the great state of Texas, Ted Cruz, may not be the Engineer of the Crazy Train after all!  The Affordable Care Act (ACA) really was a federal government takeover of the American healthcare system.  The CDC is now running the hospitals in Texas.

Mental wounds not healing
Life's a bitter shame
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train

It was Frieden and the CDC that screwed the Ebola exposed pooch, because a private hospital, united only by its bottom line, purchased used Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from an online pharmacy in Liberia?  Really?

It was Frieden and the CDC that dropped the infected stool sample, because a private hospital relied on optional You Tube videos directed by Justin Bieber for just-in-time PPE training of its nurses readying to enter the Wonderful World of Ebola?  Really?

I've listened to preachers,
I've listened to fools
I've watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you live the role

Holly projectile vomiting, Batman!  Texas Czar Rick Perry needs to activate the State Militia and fight back the CDC's takeover of Texas' hospitals and his own State Department of Health Services.  The ACA must be repealed!

Mental wounds still screaming
Driving me insane
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train

It was Frieden and the CDC that administered HHS' National Bioterrorism Hospital Preparedness Program (NHBHPP) and Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) cooperative agreements, that since 2002 have served up $4.5 Billion for funding opportunities to the states for Hospital Preparedness?  Really?

It was Frieden and the CDC that failed to stop a U.S. citizen from visiting Liberia, exposing himself to Ebola, lying about the exposure to officials at a foreign airport, and then boarding a plane to the United State of Texas in the DS of A?  Really?

Heirs of a cold war,
that's what we've become
Inheriting troubles,
I'm mentally numb
Crazy, I just cannot bear
I'm living with something that just isn't fair

It was Frieden's ancestors that were the original Tea Party crazies who killed the National Board of Health (NBH) with back door political maneuvers that pressured Congress to insert a poison pill into An Act To Prevent the Introduction of Contagious or Infectious Diseases Into the United States of 1879?  Really?

It is Frieden and the CDC that have been working in collusion with the Tea Party crazies to starve America's fractured federal, state, and local public health systems of the funding needed to prevent, prepare for, and respond to outbreaks of infectious and communicable disease?  Really?

I know that things are going wrong for me
You gotta listen to my words, yeah, yeah...

You know, I think I smell a Rat – I mean a Bat.

Oh, and I would be remiss if I did not thank Ozzy for providing the lyrics to build this column around.  It is a bit scary that the man had such vision when he wrote Crazy Train.  The song was a hit on the Diary of a Madman album released in November of 1981 – before he bit the head off a Bat, causing Iowa Bat Fever to mutate into Ebola.

And if you do not know the song, you likely do not know what an album is either.  You can download it from iTunes.

Shine On!  And keep doing good for the greater good!
